Análisis de las Estrategias de Promoción, Prevención y Control de la Enfermedad de Chagas En Latinoamérica: Revisión Sistemática de la Literatura, 2018–2025

Resumen

El objetivo fue analizar las estrategias de promoción, prevención y control de la enfermedad de Chagas implementadas en Latinoamérica entre 2018 y 2025. Se realizó una revisión sistemática según PRISMA 2020, con búsquedas en PubMed, ScienceDirect, SciELO, LILACS y Google Scholar. Se incluyeron 67 estudios que cumplieron los criterios de elegibilidad. Predominaron los diseños observacionales descriptivos (43,3 %), las estrategias de prevención y control vectorial (37,3 %) y las intervenciones comunitarias (40,3 %). La evidencia muestra una transición hacia acciones que integran control vectorial, vigilancia, educación, tamizaje y diagnóstico temprano. Los mejores resultados correspondieron a medidas continuas, adaptadas al territorio y con participación comunitaria. Las intervenciones aisladas produjeron efectos limitados o transitorios, especialmente ante reinfestaciones y vulnerabilidad habitacional. Se concluye que el abordaje requiere estrategias integradas, vigilancia continua y articulación con la atención primaria
