Impacto de la Exposición Solar y Medidas Preventivas en la Incidencia de Melanoma Cutáneo

El melanoma cutáneo representa una neoplasia de rápida expansión mundial, estrechamente asociada a la exposición excesiva a la radiación ultravioleta (UV) y a la falta de adherencia a las medidas de fotoprotección. El objetivo de esta revisión fue analizar el impacto de la exposición solar en la incidencia del melanoma y valorar la eficacia de las estrategias preventivas documentadas en la literatura científica reciente. Se desarrolló una revisión sistemática bajo la metodología PRISMA 2020, con búsquedas en bases de datos internacionales (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, OMS, CDC e IARC) correspondientes al período 2015–2024. Los estudios seleccionados se organizaron en tres categorías: mecanismos biológicos y genéticos del daño solar, factores conductuales y socioculturales, y políticas públicas de prevención. Los resultados indican que la radiación UV induce mutaciones genéticas, estrés oxidativo e inmunosupresión local; que los hábitos de exposición y las desigualdades sociales amplifican el riesgo, y que la educación sostenida junto con políticas regulatorias efectivas reducen la carga global del melanoma. Se concluye que la prevención del melanoma requiere una acción coordinada entre ciencia, educación y salud pública.
